Pioneer Digital creates specialised designs with Roland DG UV printers

Pioneer Digital   |   India

Founded in 2006, Pioneer Digital creates a wide variety of personalised products, packaging designs and a host of other customised items. Owner, Mr. Lokesh Goel, attributes his success largely to the versatility of his Roland DG equipment.

Mr. Goel is the proud owner of two Roland machines, a SOLJET PRO4 XF-640 and a VersaUV LEF-200, supplied by Apsom Infotex. Aside from the quality and reliability of the machines, Mr. Goel’s experience with Apsom has made him a true believer in the technology. They helped him find the best device for his needs and continue to provide technical support and advice ensuring his business remains efficient and profitable.

In March 2018, he bought his LEF-200 and was amazed at the opportunities he was able to unlock with his business. Since then he has been producing items in bulk and custom, one-off orders with equal ease.

“I emphasize the technical superiority of the LEF and its software that even on Standard Mode, the quality comes out perfect,” he says. He also notes that the innovative features of the machine let him increase his productivity without compromising on quality. “It has an intuitive distance mode with a height tolerance to ensure outstanding consistency on irregular and curved objects.”

“This wonderful machine has opened avenues of business from many industries.”

One of the many advantages of this hardware is its ability to achieve a range of effects and styles. “The LEF’s texture and colour library gives me an edge on quality and clarity which shows in every print,” he says. “With the LEF, I can make special 3D effects with gloss inks. Matte & Gloss effects can be used for Spot UV and jewellery highlighting the print.”

Among other items, this technology has allowed Pioneer Digital to create:

Customised book covers and gift boxes, printed on MDF
Cushion covers using UNIVERSAL inks with 220% stretch ability
Acrylic photo blocks
Customised card pen drives and coasters.

Mr. Goel’s association with Apsom has also taught him the importance of regular maintenance for both the hardware and the software. To get the best out of your machines, its software and hardware should be up to the mark.

Apsom has also given Mr. Goel useful profiling and service support, helping him create specialist designs in a consistent and cost-effective manner. With all printing applications, profiling is necessary to achieve the best results depending on the media or item that is being customised. For example, with certain materials, too much colour can result in diminished clarity in the print.
